she's officially doa AGAIN. i believe it's the starter. she was bright but clicking when i try to turn on.(no go)what i dont get is,last night i tried to turn car on and lights in cluster were dim,no hid's(i thought dead batt,no luck with jumping it) although dome/door led's were bright. when i stepped on brake my dome door light went off. when i turned on hazards i heard a buzzing noise.my brake was stiff as f*ck and had to use the shift override to get out of gear.what's going on?electrical?tranny related?

 

dude you're having more problems than its worth. driving a CL is one part getting from A to B and one part stunntin. they're almost of equal importance, but A to B is a bit more important. i say get rid of it and buy something more reliable.

Hear ya bro, I had the gasket replaced in my tranny, and the starter died at the same time At least they look good at the shop. If you crank it 3-4 times it'll start, time to go get a new starter

 

why did my lights and stuff go all retarted? i could crank it 100,000 it ain't goin nowhere,and sounds horrid........

 

Damn, usually I read the whole post, but I didn't man, sorry buddy. Damn, sounds like the alt or starter. Get a voltmeter and check the battery first. The clicking is the starter, but sounds like the starter may be shortin out if it does it WHEN you crank the starter. Sucks bro, I feel your pain

sidenote:prob not getting one but test drove a new rl no words to describe. i the interior,i felt like a pilot. also drove an 04 g35 (only 27k with 40k) also saw a tl-s(white) with a kit and navi (19k)

You got 160K miles how much you think you gonna get for a 10 yr old car, stop being difficult take the 3500 and be done with the headaches. By the way get the TL with Navi cause you always get lost.

in a year (about 18000 miles) off the top of my head alt,batt,rear main seal leak,2 starters,2 wheel bearings,control arm(not all her fault)o2,TRANNY,electrical prob,abs prob,2 bent rims and a blowout.(she's guilty by association). she has a black cloud over her white frame. the rl is the only car that made me forget all about her.(ain't happening no time soon but at least i know it can be done) i've been in cl-s,tl-s nothing moved me like a 1g based on style.i love my car.speed wise yes they kill a 3.0, but in reality they're(type-s) not that fast.if i wanted fast id get a teggy and do it up.the g35 was hot don't get me wrong i would do an even trade in a heartbeat but that's a steep note/ins with the change i'll pick up for my cl and i'm not real "blown away" by the car as i thought i would be.it also was an auto box though.i'm lost........


forgot i also like the lincoln ls v8,one caught my eye but it reminds me of an old person car.(doesn't drive like one though).call me shallow,looks are important to me......

 

All of those cars you have mentioned are pimp! I would kill for a G35, CL-S, RL, LS v8. The new RL is just jaw dropping PIMP! Has anybody quoted you a trade in price for your CL?

 

Nothing major just needed the master and slave cylinders changed on the clutch so I made sure I added fluid before I went so it shifted smoothly,

 

Not that fast but you couldnt beat me. It's fast enough and I got the slowest Type-S on the planet. You should really think about getting a good car and not all that other bs

 

I dont know how much money you make, but do you really want to be living in your car. Your gonna have such a high payment on a G35 or likewise. Plus insurance. Stick with something a little more reasonable.

You gotta be happy with your new car, but I dont think a high ass payment and insurance is gonna make you that happy.
