Hmm, I'm considering trading in my WRX & CL in for one!

Yeah, I'm seriously considering it since I know of a great dealership that won't price gouge. My WRX can currently almost hang with at stock STi, but it's pretty far from stock (no warranty, doesn't pass inspection, etc).
However, no car payments is good - the CL & WRX are paid off, but I'm currently paying for a house & lease payments on the S2000...

They're also considering V8 or supercharger form. Body design is still in speculation.

Nope, Subaru announced that they're planning on 4000 STi's this year. And if they do what they did with the WRX 2 years ago (10000 cars planned, 18000 sold due to high demand), there should be plenty.
MSRP will be $31-32k. Dealers around here are taking refundable deposits anywhere between $0-$1000.
