Would this give 200 at the wheels?

For all you V6 owners do you think that the following would give me 200 HP to the wheels:

AEM CAI
Comptech Headers
Hi-flow CAT
custom cat-back with Magnaflow muffler
Denso Iridium Spark-plugs
Port & Polishing the head
regrinded cams
V-AFC

im going to say it would be very close. Or you could save all that money and by the comptech s/c. But with those mods you would be very very close. If you find a good place to get the v-afc cheap, let me know. I need one of those!!! Good LUck

Magnaflow is really better for V8s. Look into other choices designed for import cars. My 2 cents.

add UR pullies to that list. . I just got a set intsalled last week, and let me tell you this, it revs quicker and the shifts are so much smoother then before. Don't really know about gains, but there should be some, since it's lighter and changed out the crank pullie as well.

Also you might want to look into the Field SFC-VTEC. Which is also a vtec controller like the apexi (which u have on the list) but a little cheaper.

Dyno it and tell us.

You'll need to to get the 200 whp out of the VAFC and cams (otherwise you could actually lose hp with these)

Going by that logic, then mufflers designed for import cars would really be better for I-4's.

Man, I was just doing some calculations, and assuming a 21% automatic tranny loss, 200 at the wheels would be about 253.2 HP at the crank. Damn, that would be awesome. That's almost as much HP as a Mustang GT.

In my opinion unless I have a factory retard 200 at the wheels will definatly be do-able. Especially if I add the UR pullies to that list and use a straight pipe instead of a Highflow CAT.

Now all I need is to do is scrap together about 3 thousand dollars for all this crap.

Normally a 3.0 will dyno around 155hp stock. I wouldnt even really bother with a straight pipe or high-flow cat. That is going to give you around 1-2 hp and not really worth the money on my opinion. Headers, pulleys, cams, intake, and a v-afc should get you around the 200 mark. With the port and polish you will also probably have to get a valve job, thats usually the norm when doing that. You throw that in there too you will be over the 200hp.

I have magna flow on my 2.2, and it sounds great. Completely silent at idle, and just a purr durring normal driving, and it gets louder the harder you push it. But it never becomes too loud by a large margin.

What logic do you refer to?

Most older V8 s carburated,in addition no overhead cam/cams, 2 valves per cylinder and no VTEC,larger displacements. What else can I list? I'm going by what an exhaust expert advised me when I went in to get a muffler. He sold all types including Magnaflow. The guy has about 30 years experiance. Good Luck.

I'm just saying that mufflers designed for import cars would probably be ideal for 4 cylinder DOHC high reving small displacement engines, which is very unlike the V6 in my CL. But that's besides the point. I believe that more or less a good muffler is a good muffler as long as it is properly sized and the piping diameter is reasonable.
