With or without spoiler

Whatcha think--do the first gen's look funny or weird without the spoiler?

Do they look better with the factory spoiler, even if it is not a "normal" spoiler shape-wise? (don't see a lot of spoilers curved as much as this one)

Just wondering what your thoughts are! :P

I think the factory spoiler looks odd. I'm actually looking at a higher spoiler...kinda like the one on SpeedAuraCl's. Just IMO.

Our cl's look much classier without a spoiler.
The pointed trunk looks awesome as is.

I like my clean rear.

I wouldn't be averse to a type R though if the opportunity presented itself

I like spoiler. Maybe a little higher. I like cars with spoilers.

I like our cars w/o the spoiler but the stock one def. isnt bad. The Type R one is well.....that's another story. It takes all the classyness out of our car. Ridiculous looking as well Sorry just my opinion

Since we're all posting opinions:

No spoiler - makes the back end of the car look, well, weird. My wife HATED the look of the CL until she saw one with a factory spoiler.

Factory spoiler - classy and sleek.

Type-R spoiler - rice. Makes me want to cast a fishing line to hook that thing and rip it off.

:o keep it kleeen
our cars ain't civics...... by putting a type "r" spoiler on your messin with the lines. you gots a smooth lookin car ...then bamm you got f*ckin handlebars on the back. I personally haven't decided weather to put on a factory spoiler on yet. I like spoilers but until there's an aftermarket wing that compliments a luxury coupe I'll stick to the basics

Going to work today I saw a silver '98 3.0, no spoiler, and I thought it looked really good. When you're in your own car you really can't tell how it looks. But the CL still looks really good without the spoiler, to some people though it might be a bit of an acquired taste.

I have the factory spoiler on mine, but sometimes when i see one drive by with a 'clean rear', i grow more and more fond of it. Maybe I just like clean rears...hmmm

ok, here is my opinion on the wing aka spoiler. first of all, i am a 97 CL owner and not an advocate of spoilers. therefore my opinion is subject to bias. i'm sure some of you, quite a few i bet have wings, if that makes you smile that's great, it's on your car not mine. personally i think the spoiler takes away from the sleekness and character that seperates the cl from most other cars. anyhow, just my opinion... not a fan of the wright brothers i guess.

I passed on a number of CLs until I found one with a spoiler. The car looks great with or without one, but I prefer my CL with a spoiler.

I had looked at the ype r wing and thought that it was crap. Then I saw it on speedauracl's and I instantly had to have it, but now I don't know. Right now I am just going to stick with the no spoiler look
