Hey all!

It's been a while since I haven't been back here!
Anyways, winter is pretty harsh here in Michigan but the 9 year old 2.3CL is holding in well so far... except:

I just noticed that whenever I turned on my vent (heater) there is a little constant squeak from somewhere in the dash, like a little rat being tortured or some bird. Obviously there is no animal, but I'm afraid it could be an anomaly pointing out major problems with heating/vent coming up. Any ideas?

Oh, and yesterday, while parking in a structure, I hit those huge yellow poles. Front passenger side bumper and signal light busted, passenger front fender and door dented like heck. I hope insurance takes care of it! Should I just tell insurance I found it busted like that when I got to the car? Better? My deductible is $500.

Thanks for thoughts in the vent/heater issue!

the vent heater problem is pretty common amongst us, its something with the fan........mine is worst, it starts to rumble and squeak until its warmed up.

you def shouldnt tell insurance that, the adjuster can tell if u hit a pole or if someone sideswiped ur car. U dont want them to be pissed cuz they know u lied lol. As for the heater thing, aznx tl was right, its a fixable problem w/ replacing the fan or finding it and oiling it.

dont be a dumbass, just tell them something like you hit a patch of sand or something and your brakes locked up. my friend rear ended someone in his pathfinder, although it was on gravel it was his fault, but he explained it differently than it happened to insurance and they gave him like 4gs
