Angry Winter bad luck!

Hey guys!

I haven't been back on the forum for a while. I was actually on a South East Asia trip for a month (Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Japan) where I had the best fun of my life. A beautiful area of the world!

Anyways, the following is not a joke, but pure, utter bad luck.

As I came back from my trip, my car doesn't start: dead battery. As I buy a new battery, install it, start my car, one of the headlights is burnt and the fan is not working anymore. So here I go to change fuses but also require a new bulb for the front headlight. It all works again.

The next morning I wake up, look out of my window to check on my car, and I was struck: I had 2 flats on the car. Towed the car to a firestone shop to fix the wheels. The culprit: cold weather (-7F!).

And finally, yesterday (a week later), as I drive on the freeway, behind a semi, a HUGE piece of ice detached from the roof of the truck and hits my windshield that cracked like a mutherfucker.
What's next?

$175 to change the windshield, plus all the trouble I previously had with my car and the enormous time waisted.

Bad luck. Fuck Michigan. Take me back to Asia.

I got buttrammed.

Winter can really be a bastard to a car that is sitting. Next time you travel, you might consider renting a storage and park your car in it. Might you even take the car up on stands, remove the wheels and extract the fluids. Maybe not all this for a week, but a month in winter weather equals several months in warmer weather.

Good luck to your future.

Thats not as bad as what happened to me... I fell asleep and dented my two drivers side rims to the point that they are unrepairable then a week later I purchased some black 18's and the passenger side valve had a leak and went flat on me the day I fixed that I ran into the back of a truck, not much damage besides a scratch from the trailer hitch. 2 days later I got a speeding ticket and then a week later I got a DUI marijuana and I wasn't even high aka DWB and my car was impounded for a week because the day after they impounded it the police officer that impounded it went on training and didn't come back for another week so I ended up having to pay the impound $420... Sucks ass but it'll all work out bro.

My 2.2 sits most of the winter outside, and aside from having to jump start the battery, inflating the tires and getting a oil change the first day it comes back on the road, its doing very well. Well at least the salt isnt having its way with it.

I had an awesome time in Asia!!

I think my two favorite places were Kuala Lumpur and Tokyo. Kuala Lumpur for modernity, ambition and the Petronas Twin Towers.
Tokyo for the crazyness! And the women there, so modern, sexy, dynamic. Man, they just know how to dress over there!!

Needless to state that Indonesia had probably the nicest countryside. It's just so lush, preserved and intense. East Asia is simply a gorgeous place!

Hell yeah I had fun, had my share of beautiful, sexy and wild Malaysians, Japanese and Singaporians! I love it! I'm actually going back to Malaysia in August of 2007 for 5 months!! And I'm seriously thinking of taking my baybe 2.3CL with me. I met with a few auto-business guys there, and the upgrades, mods they can provide are simply outrageous for a decent price.
He showed me a Honda Civic he had, turboed, intercooled, engine swapped and what not, all done with a lot of taste for probably half the price it would cost here in the US.

I will update you all once in Malaysia!
Do you guys know how much it is to ship a car there?
