Wings West Lip is a POS!

OK, my freggin lip decided that it wanted to peel off my car about two weeks ago. Why the damn tape wasnt strong enough, i dont know, but now i have to get it repainted and put on again. Getting the paint done because it took some abuse this winter. Anyway, now that the tape shit the bed, what would the best solution be to reinstall it? I was thinking maybe just some heavy duty 3m mounting tape? Anyone else have to reinstall one yet?

Sell it to me cheap, that sounds like a good solution.

Not trying to be a dick but the reason it didnt stick was most likely because the surface of the bumper wasnt prepped enough plus they give you screws as well. Im pretty sure it came with 3M tape but i could be wrong, as for reapplying def. use 3M auto tape and use the screws Oh what are "3.0 euro style badges" and do you have any pics?

As for painting, expect to pay around 100 bucks

Make sure you get the automotive 3m tape. I know it's obvious but just so you know.

Yeah Pat i was thinking the same thing too about the prep work. I had the body shop install it with sprayway cleaner, and the heatlamps, but i guess it wasnt good enough, screws were used also. As for paint cost, i get mine for free, friend of the family. My 3.0 euro badges are something nobody on the board has got. I am not taking another full pic of my car until the lip and mudguards get back from being painted, but you guys get a little peek at my new rims and tires.

whoever installed your lip did a shitty job. Mine's on there perfect. It stays on without the tape, just with the 2 screws. I had it attached by the screws only for like 3 weeks before i got it painted.

YES I KNOW! My rims are not going to be unveiled until my car gets a few good coats of zaino and my lip and mudguards get back from the painter. Keep an eye out in the middle of next week for some pics.

It installs with just tape? That's sketchy. Especially if you live up north with snow and salt and stuff. Plus the high-speed winds and turbulance. I have no idea why WW would only instruct you just install it with tape.

Yes damond i see it the same way. I attribute its peeling partly to those factors, and that it was installed with the temp about 40 deg. They do give you six screws, but IMO, i think that they serve almost no purpose without the tape. Blo2ck said something about installing his without tape, i dont think that i could pull that off, mine wasn't sitting flush anymorewhe the tape lost its tact. I talked to my autobody buddy and he said we might urethane it on, i dunno whats gonna happen, but i want it back!
