Windows out

Well,

This afternoon my window motor on the drivers side decided to give out. Of course, I just turned over 50000 miles last weekend. I have the extended warranty though so maybe it will be covered. I was going to run it to the dealer tonight but a horrible thunderstorm was here tonight. My car looks like it just came out of the ghetto with trash bags and duct tape covering the window

While I am at the dealer I am going to get my drivers side leather replaced also so maybe this will be a blessing in disguise but it still a pain in the ass being at school here and not having a garage to park the car in.

Sorry for the long post. What have your guys experiences been with this problem?

Nick

Yeah i think we have all had our regs go. All the accord owners seem to have the same problem. Wish honda would do somthing about it.

Thanks for the respones. I was aware of this problem but i just wanted to vent a little. Do you think i should have them just look at the other window since that one is bound to go some time soon also?

Sure, why not? Especially if it's under warranty.

my driver side window died last w/e too....same situation, just stopped half way down...how cool! Well, i was on the interestate had about 4 more hours of driving to do, so wasnt going to put up with 90 mph winds in my face. So i just pulled over, and me and my buddy yanked the bitch back up; now i can just move it up and down freely...how much fun is that!1!!!! No acura dealerships near my school so gonna have to wait till i go home!LOL!

My window did the same at 48,000, they have a service bulletin out on the window regulator saying they know they break around 50,000, but you still need your warranty. They fixed mine no problem. If not under warrenty it is about $240.00 to fix a little bicycle brake style cable.
