Window Regulator/Actuator is *%$^%(! BUSTED!!!

Well, it happened to me now. My passenger side window is having great difficulty operating, so from searching the forum and assessing my car with a self diagnosis, I have come to the conclusion that my regulator is shot.

Wondering which would be cheaper to do or more or less, the best thing to do, go through my warranty - especially since it will be my first claim against it.

OR................pay for it myself

OR................maybe try to buy the part myself and fix it myself.

Then, if I do have it fixed at the dealer, which do you DC area dealers do you prefer or has the best service department?

Tischer
Rosenthal
Radley
Criswell
Chevy Chase

I want to go to Chevy Chase, but the service department has a few issues with Acuras, I don't have the time to wait 3 days for a 4 hour job.

D,

When I took my CL to Rosenthal, they took care of it on the spot (or gave me a loaner), all 4 times!

It looks as if I'll be looking for my third driver's side regulator....and this always seems to happen when the weather becomes frigid

If it's under warranty that's a no brainer it's a free repair.

Pohanka took care of mine right away but you have to leave the car for the day.

As for Radley the service department use to be open till 1am, yes that's "am" so that you can go after work and not go without a car.

Thanks guys, I may just drop it off Friday morning and pick it up in the afternoon for the weekend. I really don't want to fool with the window myself, make them do it and possibly get my 60K service at the same time - but I only have 58700 miles on it.
