hey guys, i just bought my first car (i had 2 cars before but totalled them both, toyota cressida 89 and volvo 92, they were handmedowns), and i picked a '97 2.2 premium CL, red outside grey leather inside. It's giving me window problems on driver side and i fear that the mechanic is going to rip me off . . . basically when i roll it down it stops halfway and gives these cranking noises. any suggestions or tips on how fix or what the problem is?

and another question, how many horses dus the 3.0 have?

also the window motors are notorious for going out in our cars, you can change it yourself and buy it off the oem acura part site... i cant remember what it is at the moment... a little help?

MIne got messed up twice... once it was (i think the regulator )but it was under warranty and the second time it was the rubber trim on the bottom inside of the door that jammed next to the window. It would do the same as yours, go down half way and then start making that awful noise...

the regulator went on my driver side about 2 months ago..a new 1 was 140 but i had the body shop guy charge it to my damage that he was fixing and the lady that hit me (when i was parked)payed for it

 

ebay has them for the 2 door accord which will work for 70$. give it a try. and they come with a warranty...
