Window Problem

Window Problem
so my passenger side window has been slow for a while. i replaced the regulator and its still slow. i figued out that the problem i'm having is with the plastic/rubber piece that makes contact with the window. i'm not talking about the track at the side of the door, its the piece at the bottom where the glass comes out of the door. either way, this plastic/rubber piece is pushing really hard on the window which makes it hard for it to go up or down. too much friction yo. any ideas?

i've tried putting lube in the tracks but its not cutting it. putting the lube where it really needs it will make it smear all over my window.
ajtcl, where can i get this powdered graphite.

i'm positive i've identified the right cause of the problem. before i switched the regulator my window was obvisously slow. after i switched it, its still as slow as before. i also compared both regulators when the door was apart and they seemed to preform the same. for some reason the window is just pressing too hard against the trim piece at the bottom. a lube for it would be a good idea though. if the window is a little bit wet it performs 10 times better.

Yeah, my driver door had the same prob, i changed the regulator, but it was still slow, i took it all of, and just saw that when i put it back on, i didnt line up a couple of things, amke sure the bar inside the door that holds the regulator is lined up correct, juss see if everythign is all in its place. Too much fricition might burn out yoru regulator again

Is it slow all the way (from the down position to the top) or does it get worse as it goes up?
If it's slow, its gona' strain the motor. Been there done that. I pulled the rubber that the window rides against when up. It kinda looks like shit when the window's down, but there is no strain on the motor, and I live in Fla, so my windows are normally up anyway. You can access it once the window is down and it pops right out. It's at the back and runs flat against the window when it's up. There are two screw cover behind there. The rubber piece inside the door (in the track) shouldn't hinder window movement at all unless it's bent.
I removed my window rubber and there is no wind sound or leaking. In fact, Acura replaced my motor twice (imagine that), and both times, they left that piece out. I bitched both times, but after a while I realized that this was what was strining MY motor, and just left it out. She's smooth now and havent repleced a motor since. (I work on an air force base and have to roll my window up and down constantly for badging).

have you tried the graphite polwder yet? I have the same problem, but it hasn't bothered me enough to find the cause. I think graphite powder is your best bet, and while your at it put some on your key and put your key in all the locks to lube them up.
