Why your car is shutting off while driving!

1999 Acura CL 2.3

Those of who own a Acura CL first genration take note when you start your car and it keeps cutting off check your IGNITION SWITCH. In the CL first generation due to wear the screws in the IGNITION SWITCH WEAR OUT and doesn't hold its position in the on position in your car and will shut off.
Also be careful not to burn out your starter because you think the car is not catching. To get to the IGNITION SWITCH you have to take the whole panel off....the IGNITION SWITCH is located on the lower left hand side of the steering wheel once you get the panel off. The switch itself is Blue in color and sits inside a plastic tubing.
The part is around $50.00 bucks. A mechanic can generally get it done in an hour or for $75-$100 bucks it's worth it.
