Hi! I am your fellow skepticist!

1. No pictures of mechanical parts.....no pictures of engine bay, underbody, trunk(subs?).

2. Since when did Neuspeed make an intake for the CL? And if they did, wouldn't it be shown in the advertisement within the multiple pictures?

3. He has TWO sets of 18" wheels, those alone can be sold on E-bay for his reserve price.

4. WHY would this car be painted a nice custom color FIVE weeks before being sold, without good reson to sell? Most people who invest alot of money into their car mention reason to sell(for cheap too!), including --moving, baby, job loss, illness.

5. He does not mention his grille---virtually ANYONE who has a CL and replaces their grille TALKS about it! This guy......NOPE!





FINAL JEOPARDY..............This is what happens when you spend too much money on your car and get mad when your V6 tranny goes out and/or your car smokes excessively.


ANSWER...........sell your car cheap on E-bay with no guarantees or mechanical information!

 

Dre brings up some really good points. I think it says that he got the paint job 8 months ago, which makes more sense. But why would he buy Axis Spider 18's about a month before selling it, when they cost around $1200 - $1500, and his reserve has been met around $2000. This seems a little bit suspicious, when he could probably sell those wheels themselves for around $1000 if they are that new. It's a damn nice CL, and i think it either has mechanical problems or the owner is really desperate.

 

I'm thinking bogus auction - seller has 0 feedback and the name is 93faststang? Probably got the pictures off the web somewhere.

 

yeah whoops i meant 8 months...the wheels were 5 weeks old....and I see he has a pic of the engine, with a blue coupler where the intake would go, but no pic showing the surrounding with his custom blue paint job...


I live near him, maybe I can email him and call him out.....hell, I could buy it and part it out for more than 2500!

and it says bose mids and highs, when he has subs and a new deck, y wouldnt he upgrade teh speakers?

 

technically mids are door/rear pannel speakers highs are the tweeters against teh front windshield...

 

yeah i know, but what i was getting at is why wouldnt he upgrade those to aftermarket when he has subs and a new deck

i too think its a scam. i questioned him on the grill, and lip to which he hasn't responded.

^^did he take off the side and back skirts? looks like something is missing compared to the front lip...

 

Does everyone else here have a discolored passenger side airbag like that one in the picture? I've seen that color mis-match on wrecked cars before. Where the new airbag cover doesn't exactly match the dash.

I have a darker airbag cover on my car, but the carfax came up clean...

 

yeah, airbag covers that are different colors or are not aligned perfectly into the dash have been replaced. carfax is just about worthless, so many people can go to a local bodyshop, and as long as the police weren't involved, carfax will never know
