hey guys, if any of you here have a 97 2.2 and need the factory keyless entry remote, i ll sell u mine for like 15 bucks, i dont need it anymore since i got my new alarm...

 

It wont just work...I think you have to go to a dealer ship and get it coded to your own car and when I did it for my 94 Camaro it was a pretty hefty penny...

yea the instructions are everywhere-- the one thing you need to make sure before you buy a keyless remote-- is that is has the same FCC ID as the one you currrently have-- cuz otherwise it wont work

Does anyone know by any chance if honda keyless entry remotes that look the same will work with a 97 2.2?

 

The next important check would be if the FCC ID on the key you plan to buy matches with your CL. I think the 97's FCC ID on the remote key was A269ZUA108. I am not sure though, check your manuals.

the remote will work, and to program it is simple, i bought one off of ebay and used dustbuster instruction and it worked. as long as the remote is made for the 97 cl it will work
