Autodown passenger window

I immediately open my windows when I get in my car because I always drive around with them down. Its annoying to hold the passenger button down while the driver one goes by itself. If I order another driver side switch could I replace the existing manual passenger one? Are the switches separate or is it all one piece/part?

I still want to be able to control each window seperately but I would like them both to be autodown.

my clifford alarm allows for auto roll up/down of both windows, I can even roll them up after I take out the key and open the door. I have "smart windows" by the way!

Anyone know if I can use a drivers side switch for the passenger window to make it auto down? Someone must know so I dont have to rip my door panel off to find out.

i'm not sure, but from that pic you posted I can see that the drivers side switch is a lil bigger, so you might have to do some cutting.

well you know, you could probably jsut split the wires off of the pasenger side switch onto both the drivers side and the passenger window switches. that way both switches would control the passenger side window. You could use the drivers side window swith to put both down, and if you jsut wanted to put one down you could turn that window lock swith to off, and it would disable the controls for the passenger side window. Does tha tmake sense? And i you just wanted to controlt he passenger side window you could just use the original switch.

If that doens't make sense let me know and I'll whip up a little diagram for you.

I"ve got the clifford alarm that allows me to roll down both of the windows at the same time while im comming out of work. If you've got a DEI system i would look into getting the window mod add on.

An extra relay and switch from the dealer or junkyard should do it. I've been thinking about this myself.

I knew someone did this mod.

Did you just order another switch and replace the manual passenger one? Did you have to cut to fit the larger switch?

Leon-

yeah thats what I was thinking....would that work? lol

Just a thought....cuz I doubt anyone really just lowers the drivers side only....unless they were going to a drive-thru in the rain? Cuz I know I RARELY put the drivers ONLY down...and it is kinda tedious to drop both windows. Pushign the drivers once, then holding the passenger. My mercedes has all 4 that go down auto, and I love that....I just push all 4 once and BAM they all go down!

You are gonna have to excuse my idiotness but whats a fob? I have the APS-996A and i am not sure which window mod but its not the prestige, i can ask. The alarm with the window mod should be between 150-200. Install varies alot form place to place it was me with my friend so all i had to do was buy him a 12 pack and take him out to lunch.
