When to replace timing belt?

have 97' 3.0 CL.
Current mileage is about 88k. Some people said timing belt must be changed before 90k and some are saying 3.0 engines can go upto 100k.
Anyone know?

Also, how do you know if your tranny is getting fuckd? I haven't had any tranny problem, but how do you notice the bad tranny?

Thanks,

Paul

dealer says they do it at the 105k check up but i recommend it to do it before the 100 mark or even at 90k
