Ok, about 2 months ago i got my drivers side window regulator replaced...now just recently, sometimes my window will roll up reeeaaallllyyy sllloowwwllyy and then just stop and the window button will start clicking....i can roll it back down fine, but then rolling it back up it will go up about an inch and start clicking and stop...then after about 10-15 min i try to roll it up and it goes up fine....does anyone know why my drivers side window will sometimes just stop rolling up and start clicking???

 

u might need to lube up the window tracks and spray some silicon lube onto the rain guard things... there is probab;y to much friction caused by those things and it is putting to much strain on ur regulator... u might want to take care of that soon or ull put a lot of strain on this new regulator and blow that one too.

 

Was there any impact to the side mirror or anywhere around there? I had the same problem and found out the reason. It was from an impact to the side mirror which bent the rail, so that it caused the motor to work harder rolling it up. I've then stuck a screwdriver and tried to straighten the rail which I guess worked because it's barely hesitating now.

 

does anyone have any detailed instructions on how to lube the window tracks and rain guard thingys and stuff?

 

i got the same problem w/ my drivers side window..it goes up quicker when the motor is running..but when its not..the mirror takes forever to go up.. i may need to lube my window tracks too..but w/ what do u use and how ?? thanx for the help..

 

u might want to check the weather stripping, the rubber sealant along the windows, check all around the window because your window may have gotten caught on the other side of rubber causeing a hard time for it to move in either direction.

I said lube the rain guards= ur weather stripping same thing...

and I didn't say anything about it falling out of the weather track because what is a weather track.. there are the rails for the window maybe that is what ur refering to...

AHHHHH how annoying, Acura3.0CL look carefully around ur whole window especially around ur mirror and see if there is loose rubber, if so ur window fell of its track.

 

I had that problem with my Integra a while back. I would push the button to close it, and it would just get stuck around the middle with is still clicking. Does it get all hot around the window buttons? CAuse thats what happened to me.. all i did was change the motor and everything was fine.

dude get aftermarket ones, mine are one touch up and down for driver and passenger, plus they are tied up with my alarm so i can roll them up or down witht he touch of a button. LOOOOOOVE THEM

 

i might just have to do that....what brand are yours? what do u suggest and how much are they?? what will fit in our cars? (i might do that because im getting the Viper 791 XV pager alarm real soon too...
