what the hell is a cam gear...found a aem one for pretty cheap, jsut wondering if its worth puttin in and what it does. is it instalable by me or do i have to get it done, if so how much does that run

It might not be a good idea to get one if you don't know what it does. Not trying to be a dick, just research a little more so that you know abou the risks. For now I can try my best to help you. It advances or retards your timing to your choice. They require dyno tuning. And if they are not put in correctly then you can blow your motor. For example if the gear slips. From what I know they are a mod that you may want to do after an Intake, Header, and exhaust. Anyone want to add more?

a cam gear advances or retards "cam timing" not ignition timing
best results with dyno, but generally retarding it 2 deg, will give better results with N2O for detonation purposes

if you have all the basic bolt-ons, get one
if your car is stock then buy a clutch and flywheel as your first and second mod
