Im looking to get a used car, highest price i can go is probably 10-15k. what can i get besides a 1st gen that would be in my pricerange, and be faster or atleast as luxurious as my CL was ? (my search for a new 1st gen isnt going so well rii now )

you could get a brand new 2.5i legacy for about 18k right now. they are clearing them out! not as fast as a wrx but faster then your cl and much more luxurious then an impreza. but since some mentioned a impreza. you could easily get a newer wrx for 15k. again faster but not luxorious. i know you want a manual also. so a 2nd gen tl or 3rd gen tl is out. that leaves a used lexus is or an accord.

 

type r teg is out cuz of its high rate of being stolen here in NY, RX7 and supra are out cuz i need something that i can atleast put a couple huge suitcases in to move my stuff back to school, legends and maximas are out cuz my friends have those and i dont want anything thats the same as them cuz they'll bitch about it (no 2 cars alike in my car group except for rsx's and they're brothers), and i havent been able to find a 2nd gen 6 speed for that kinda money...more suggestions please!

ill say it again. 2001 lexus is300 5spd easily had for under 15k if you can find one. no 14 sec car, but fun to drive and faster then what you had.

02 or 03 wrx, my bros got a 2002 its reliable and pretty nice and he pulled 14.2 STOCK and 13.8 with downpipe cat-back and K&N filter

You can find a 1st gen cl, if that is what you really want, just give it a minute.
I had an Integra, but it was stolen, they are too easy to break into (like all Hondas) but trying a newer cl might be what you are looking for, pleanty of room in the runk for your stuff, and definitely enough horsepower stock. I went from manual to the sprtshift, and it isn't great, but it isnt that bad. Otherwise

Maxima, BMW 325is, 2 dr accord (99-02), or buy an integra LS for cheap and put a turbo on it, you'll still have money left over if you go the integra route, but it has a higher chance of being stolen

 

There is a cyclone blue one near my crib for 9K, I'll check it out later for you. I don't understand why you having problems find another 1st Gen..I see them everywhere..I'll get you some choices soon..I agree with Mike an IS300 is a good choice a couple of subtle mods and you got a quick little sucker.

yeah im def taking a look at that RSX, but the 2nd 1, audi's have the highest repair costs of any vehicle, and im not into that lol. i was thinkin about it, a manual tsx would b a dream come true, but those suckers have such high resale value that their nowhere in my ballpark. There's a blue 1st gen at Pascack Auto Exchange over in washington township i gotta check out, that 1 might work for me.

The Lexus SC300 is really nice and comes in a 5 speed. RWD in the winter isn't whole lot of fun, but that car looks sick with a drop and some 19's with a deep lip. Saw one like that the other day.

 

or a pre 2000 3 series BMW ride well(its a fucking BMW no shit) and are more dependable than the rest of the euros

My friend has a 1.8t golf and its nice as hell...fast too! (which pisses me off cuz his is a 1.8 w/ a factory turbo while ours is a 3.0...and his kicks my ass...but what do u expect...)

anyway!, yea look into the 1.8t golfs...he added a CAI and a boost gauge and hes runnin like 11-13 lbs of boost....
