What is the normal position of the temp gauge?
When the car gets warmed up, it sits at about the 4 o'clock position. Is this normal? Or should it sit at 3 o'clock? Thanks.
some people say that it should normally be at the half way mark... mine typically is beteween 1/4 and the 1/2 mark... i think ive only seen gone above that once or twice in the summer... why, do you think your thermostat is busted?
I am just curious. My other car was like that and I replaced the thermostat and it went up to half (normal).
This is good news. I just don't want to run hot, while the thermostat is telling the car that it is cool.

today was talkin with my friend and let my car sit for like 20-30 mins my temp went up to about the halfway point. i got scared never saw it that high(plus its freezing here) but put her in gear and drove like a block and she was fine. my ? is my temp went that high cuz she was sittin right? or should i have her checked?
i definitely wouldnt let my car sit for that long, its a bad idea, no matter how goddam cold it is outside....believe me i know from experience after overheating my accord....heat is my greatest enemy, besides my ex-girlfriends..
temp. guage should be below 3 o'clock, if it gets up around there, it's something to check out...my experience with hondas taught me that at least

I've never seen mine get to half
Between half and a quarter is very normal.
