You won't go wrong with KYB AGX shocks. But if your drop is near 2" you might run into some problems. KYB's are usually for pro-kit or H&R springs. If your car is about a 2" drop (coilovers, sportlines, nuespeed race) or more look into koni's. Koni's are a little more but a excellent product.

i highly reccommend you spring a little more and get the koni yellows. THEY ARE AWESOME!!! i paid $510 for mine. so it was about $102.50 each. And if you got prokits and want more drop u can set the srping perch lower and drop your car another .5" about. I put them back on the norm perch cuz my wheels were tucked into the wheel well. i hope to have daytime pics later today.

ok the H&R springs fell through so i'll prob end up gettin Ground Control Coilovers...so like a 2" drop all around...maybe 2.5" drop...so what do u all suggest? could koni yellows hold a 2.5" drop?? what about these teins????

also...wheres the best place to buy shocks from?? somewhere with good cheap prices??? (i cant afford to spend all the $ like on koni yellows...ive found out that www.Tirerack.com
is cheap...but what about buying like koni yellow or somekind off ebay or somethin used...buy used or not??

Tein SS coilovers.

its a complete spring over strut combo. with the price of the GC's and the KYB's you're in the same neighborhood.

umm no...teins are waaayy too much...the front camber kit and all 4 GC coilovers are $250 (ive got friends :-) but then i gotta buy shocks...

bottom line, 2" - 2.5" drop = ????shocks?? Could i still use KYb AGX's??? or do i HAVE to get koni yellows with that drop??
Can i buy used shocks and not have to worry much???

Well 250+ 400-500 for shocks you might as well spend the extra 100 on the teins. You will like them 100% better then the GC's.

teins are 850$

trust me man, this is the way to go, take it from someone whose messed w/ basically every spring combo there is for our car. I've had both eibachs, ST's, Progress, GC's, VIS, and the spring springs.

yes you can buy shocks used. But it's probally not the best thing to buy used. Also, do you know what kind of camber kit you are getting? It may be a shitty kit. My suggestion is dont' try to go cheap because you will redo it in the long run. As you can see I have experience w/ trying to go cheap and suspension.

cuz if their different than thats somethin elce im gonna have to spend my damn $ on...ahh!!

so far i have to pay for coilovers, camberkit, shocks, (struts??) , re-do the rims, tires, allinment, and freakin installation!!! ahhhhhhhhhhhh

so what exactly do i need if i drop my car 2" with GC coilovers??????/

i think i'll get the GC and front camber...install everytrhing to a 1.75 drop all around (the springs are already settled) so i'd have a 1.75 drop and keep the stock shocks for a while...how long would they last??

If i had to do it all over again i woulda just went with the teins...by the time you pay for the GC's and The yellows you minus well get a fully engineered suspension that the spring and strut are made for eachother...I regret buyin the sleve coils..save ur money get the teins

Why is everyone telling this guy to get teins or yellows, or even any adjustable shock for that matter, when he is probably never even going to use the adjustability feature on the yellows which is what people pay for..plus the ability to handle higher spring rates which will not be used either. Teins is even worst overkill for a daily driver. If you still insist on getting adjustable shocks AGX will be more than adequate for your needs...and they are the best bang for the buck.

Here's the reason for buying adjustables. If you're not happy with your non adjustable initial set-up then you're assed out. With adjustables you can tune it to your liking and then leave it. If you decide the ride is too rough, or too soft a month or two later, you have a choice of changing it without purchasing new shocks.
