What the hell is wrong?

The car was running fine last weekend.. it's just been parked until today.
I drove it like half a mile and then it started accelerating by itself, even when I began to depress the brake.
I thought that was really weird, so I parked it.
It was just sitting there revving itself.. the needle was jumping 1-2 rhythmically.. going to 2 then dropping to 1, going back up to 2, etc
Didn't sound right at all.
I went to the parking lot and didn't press the gas at all.
Just had it in drive, and it kept slowly going faster..
I was driving around in circles at like 20mph, getting faster as it went.
I never even pressed the gas!

What the hell is this about??

helllllp

throttle cable may be stuck. This happened to me... make sure u have a ground wire attached. If not.. then the electric surge it needs to start the car will go through the throttle cable and melt the plastic around it. luckily i have a manuel and was was able to put it in neutral (while still reving) and drive it to the shop and have it check out. But this is just what happened to me.

Yeah that sounds like a throttle problem. If could be a malfunctioning throttle sensor or the throttle cable might be stuck like NiteNitez said.

Just one last thing. I had the same problem but my check engine light came on for it. The code that it trew was P0505. I called Honda and they told me it was the idle control valve. I think that i ended up paying like $85 for it at Honda.

the other problem is this "squirrel cage" fan makes a lot of noise about half the time i drive. it's located above the footspace under the glove box.
this is what i was told about it.

"The fan problem you are having sounds like a failed motor bearing. You may need to replace the "squirrel cage" fan. It is a real pain in the ass though. I had to do it in my Teg, and it sucked ass. . . The squirrel cage will run you proll $300 at a dealer, but if there is a salvage near you, you can prolly get it for closer to $50 to $75"

if i kick the casing around the fan, it will stop the noise for a little, and then start back up eventually or after i hit a bump.. but sometimes this noise isnt there at all.
do you think this calls for a total replacement? right now i just ignore it and turn up my music.
if i were to call for used parts, could i get it out of an accord (year)?
