Does nothing for me.

Around here, it's too much associated with common ricers. :thumbsdn:

i think the best answer (definitly the smart ass one) is that you don't, at least not without soaking the trunk area.

This is definitly a mod that is more form than function. It doesn't float my boat but it does add a unique element to the car.

I think they look out of place on any car. Even lambo doors look cool cause that is at least on a real production car. No car has a flip trunk like that. They look too ricey for me. JMHO

Ross, can you explain how the trunk opens closes? Does the trunk itself swivel?

I just wanted to post to warn you to NOT buy that kit. It's a few hinges from Home Depot... probably $6 worth of hinges. I bought on like that and it's a piece of shit. Wait for a real kit to become available if you want to do that. Autoloc is working on one.. and I think it will be motorized.

As for those who are not sure how it works... the trunk works like normal. Then, when you want to flip it like the pic you unlatch one of the hinges and it flips flat.

wrong, its more than hinges. and it should be welded. i open my trunk on my piece of shit car every day mine has help up perfectly for a year.

the hinges i used arent junk, they are heavy duty shits. the trunk opens normally then it flips; to answer rain and sub box questions. there is a way to do it so your trunk doesnt fly all over the place. my way damn it. ill post a groupbuy deal and for someone close to my shop ill even install it for free with detailed pics and instructions.

it can be done without being shotty. rice, or whatever you want to call it, someone with it is going to catch more eyes and get more points at a show than you.

its different on the cl's than on the civic, the trunk folds at an angle, not straight up and down.

i wanted to give it a try ross but i didnt know if i could do it myself i have access to welders and all equipment to do metal work since my pops is a sheet metal worker (ret.) but PM me and let me know if i can buy or you can let me know how i can make mine look like yours, hook a brother up

i like the look and definately would get some looks at a show the angle of our trunks would turn some heads if the trunk is flipped differently than most
