Well SF comes through once again
Getting a check for nearly 3k for all the stereo stuff alone that the douchbags took at the dealership. This isnt even including the panels and other body things that are getting replaced.
Pioneer Z2 here i come Sucks that pioneer discontinued the tv tuners but this one im getting bluetooth, ipod connector, and xm live traffic so its a fair replacement.

For the stereo stuff it was $3000 and i still havent had a chance to test the sub to see if it works. If its out thats probly another $500 or so. Plus the window was $489 (dealership paid for that) and the center trim pieces/ chrome trim and whatever else that the bodyshop still has to fix.
They sure as hell hit me hard. I just want the car back to where it was.

I dont have anything against you, I actually think your a cool person.
BUT
I'd have to say that:
1. Your a fool for not pursuing the dealerships liability $$'s...
Yes, I know they claim they are not responsible for stuff in your car-
but, the stuff in your car you can argue is "part" of the car...
I'd have a lawyer on it pronto if I were you.
2. Bad decision with Pioneer. Go with Alpine or something else.
You cannot get much out of a Pioneer, its a simple receiver
that is user-friendly. With an Alpine you have more freedom to tune and customize
your listening preferences.. Plus they are a lot more attractive via no-nonsense styling.

I thought about the alpine unit but i honestly prefer pioneer. Im not worried baout having a hard hitting perfect system. I want the radio more for its features than anything.
My friend is a lawyer and i talked to him about it, he already told me if i pursued the dealership with this I most likely would lose since i signed the liability clause in their service contract. Then id be stuck paying court costs and everything.
The only reason i went through my ins is becasue its a comprehensive claim. It doesnt effect my rates, and it doesnt count as a claim against me because they are gonna send their lawyers after the dealershipand the dealerships ins. If they win, i get my deductible back. Plus the other thing is i dont want my car torn apart for 6 months untill the court system decides.

comprehensive coverage! I love how windshields/windows are covered under comprehensive.
I guess you are lucky that it (the stereo) fell under that category.

I stand behind Alpine's product before Pioneer because
when I adjust my EQ on my headunit (alpine),
you can notice how fine it sounds as you move up/down in increments
whereas with a Pioneer it is more harsh, theres only so much you
can do with its controls. (my opinion may be biased- I am basing this off
of a deck I used 5 years ago, and my alpine was released in 05 i think.)
Also I beleive that Pioneers display is "trying to hard".
A case where less is more, I prefer digital output with
many customizations to an Icey blue "look at me" deck that clashes with
the luxury interior that I aim to acheive.
Bottom line, im more interested in an in-depth EQ than flying space-ships
and dolphins swimming around. black plastic > chrome plastic.

I know where you're coming from, I like my dolphins though My deck is from 03 and I still have better tuning on my old pioneer (being replaced by touch screen dvd) as far as eq than I have ever seen with alpine, but I'm basing my experience on a couple year old decks as well. It's more looks than anything in the end anyway
