Can someone enlighten me on the subject of welding. I really know nothing about it, but i hear terms being thrown around all the time (TIG, MIG, TACK, JB, etc). What are each used for? What is used for exhaust? thx

I have no idea but I guess its used to hold the exhaust system in place. Good luck!

mig and tig are both employed in exhaust applications. jb weld, as i know it, is an very strong metal base epoxy for those without torches (not recommended for true welding apps).

yep...mig and tig can be used for exhaust work...tacks are small welds just to hold the work together untill you can do the finish welds.

It' all depends on the type of metal used, tacks are just small welds like j said
