weird startup problem

just recently (a day or 2 ago) my car has been acting weird during start. When i first turn the key, the power comes on and everything but the car clicks once and nothing happens. then i just turn the key again and it starts. usually takes 2 or 3 turns before it starts. not sure what the problem is, but once the car starts there's no problem, and the lights/radio all work so i don't think its the battery. Anyone have this problem? its not cold or raining or anything like that
thanks
-btw im probably going to the socal meet on saturday @ fuddruckers
anyone else going?

your battery connections might be loose....if you can pull the cables of the battery with no problem then you might run into a problem of corrosion (spelling) build up and would cause starting problems

how much is it to repalce a starter? and is it a DIY?
actually froggy that might be the case...my battery cables were always a little loose but i couldn't really tighten it all the way, and thought it wouldn't be a problem
do i need to clean up the corrosion? or just tighten the cables
thanks for the help guys

would have swore it was the starter .... Got the low Down!!! the odessy, tl, cl and accord v6 starters match up, to rebuild is about $100.. Hit up Auto Zone and you can test it for FREE , found out my starter is fine ordered a replacement ground wire pack from ACURA $19.99 hope you get yours tested first, looked like on the 3.0 the starter is on the driver side mid way down ... yours might be DIfferent it's sometimes on the other side ..........

check to see if you are covered under the ingition recall. sounds like the symptoms of either the the ignition switch, the main relay, or the starter/solenoid.

Also had the recall a while ago, replaced the ground wire, the problem got BETTER but is still there, I don't think it's the starter, I think it's the RELAY>> the RELAY is cheap i think???
LCACURA 97 you don't happen to know about were this relay is do you??? I'm guessing firewall drivers side somewhere, haven't even looked yet.. Anyways I will probly DIY and will take pics for other people with the same problem!! THNKS

its under the hood in the fuse box. there is another relay that has to do with the ignition under the steering wheel too.
