I got sylvania silverstars for my headlights. They are definitely whiter than the stock headlights that look yellow. They are NOT HID's though. i got mines at advance auto parts for 50 bucks a pair. easy install. hope that helps

I've only heard good things about the silverstars in comparison to other normal bulbs (other than PIAAs), especially since they are more affordable. How did your HIDs break anyway?

ive seen them at pep boys here in charlotte for 35-40 a pair...make sure you are VERY careful.....my experience has been with 3 sets on 3 different cars.....if they burn out, they burn out within 3 or 4 weeks, if not, theyll last you about a year...maybe longer....but they are brighter than stock! Only negative is that they create this purplish blue line where the light "edges" are....

its like the vision cut off line where the vertical cut off line is for the light shining......its real easy to see if you shine your lights at night on a wall or at a patch of trees or something.

If you do get them clstyle, just remember do NOT touch the glass. I've been told that oil from your hands getting on the glass can cause the bulbs to bust from the heat. So i've been told. I've have them for 3 months now and not one problem/.
