What happened with the tranny issue?

 

Usually Maaco and "looks good" aren't usually in the same sentence. but we will see.

 

Speaking of maaco quality... Here is something that is on par with their work.
So my friend was bitching that he had a rust spot on his hood. I jokingly challenged him to paint his whole car satin black after sanding and priming the rust spot. Well needless to say he got into his car and said if he can get rattlecans for $5 a can, he would paint his car. 20 mins later he comes back with his orbital and 7 cans of satin green that he got for $3 a can. 3.5 hrs later...

Scroll down a bit til you see the mk3 jetta. This is not permanent though, he's painting the car for real in the spring.

 

holy crap....hahahahah wow big props to ur friend..he did a pretty good job on his car...lovin the color too...btw Tehvine good luck with repairing ur car...ur takin a huge risk but good luck with everything...

 

Yeah no biggie, it's been a lawn ornament for 11 months so any progress is good.

 

lol maaco.... i brought a tacoma in when i was younger to get the side repainted (ex-gf carved her beautiful signature in my door) and they PAINTED OVER MY PIN STRIPE.

 

Yeah Maaco does not believe in removing emblems or anything of the sort when they paint. They just pull it in and spray.
