i have a '97 2.2... when does my vtec kick in?(rpm)

On average the 2.2 will start the power curve @ 3850-4000 rpms depending on operating temporature and throttle position. If you can't feel or hear it kicking in, something is wrong.

Find you a nice spot, an open road or the track, and run her through the gears. Just use common sence and don't max out the rev limiter and you will see for yourself where your v-tec is engaging.

i do notice it but its not that easily noticable. i can definately feel it kicking in.
