Did you reset the ecu after removing the jumper? You might also check to see that the vtec solinoid is getting good signal. There really isn't much else that can cause a problem with the vtec system... it is very hardy most of the time.

The vtec malfunction/lag occurs at its worste when im turning, as if its low on oil. But im good on oil. Im not a mechnic, (obviously) but wat i wnna know is whats sending my oil through the system, maybe the 'oil pump' (if that exists), isnt sending the oil to my solenoid...?

check the oil pressure sending unit.. should be attatched around the oil filter. if its clogged or bad the ecu may think theres not good oil pressure and go into limp mode.. i think they are pretty cheap. ill find out..

this one i think if for the light only..
and this one is for vtec and timing controll.

when i get home ill check the ohm procedures for it. i would just remove it get some electrical part cleaner and spray inside the hole.

do i need to be taking shit apart. its not that im scared to work on my own car, its really a lack of tools that stops me.
And for more fun, im on my way to take my last final, and on the freeway, the electrical system shut off and back on real quick. 3 times. THen i pull over, and pop the hood, check the battery connection, bad idea cause now i cant pull the CEL codes... FUKINSHIT!!!! But now i got vtec laggage like a muthafuker, but it hasnt electrically sneezed again. i wish i had $$ to trade in for a 2nd gen....

it sounds like a bad ground somewhere. follow the battery negative to where ever it goes and see if it has broken wire strands or is corroded or just disconnected. also go to autozone and have them come outside to the car and check the alternator. its free, so just to rule that out.. but yea the sensor is easy to remove. just get an adjustable wrench and un screw it. remember alittle oil is prolly gonna come out. i have no idea how much but it wont be as much as the oil filter holds. so have a bucket or some dirt ready. and when you re install it dont gorilla torque it down. just snug it down real good. it will just kind of stop screwing in. and you might want to use some of that thin white plumbing tape and put it on the cleaned threads just to make sure it doesent leak.

Update. New Alternator, no accesory failure, my car is engaging Vtec, but its laggy. I think it might be the Cat. the reason i say this is because when my car is cold, I have no vtec lag at all. It picks up like crazy. So when the cat converter is cold, its not messing up, when its warm, i lag. wierd.

sorry for harrassing you wilp, but i was driving home, and my oil pressure sensor thing came on and off when i was turning onto another freeway..
So maybe its both the cat and the sensor? i wish my friend still worked the acura stealership!!
