no way the 3.0's kick in at 5200 i know that. 3500 is awfuyl low for the vtec to kick in i have my vafc set to 4000 and that is already low enough. 3500 and the vtec kick in, flooring it too much and youll blow the engine or something bad will happen to it. some people say its in the 4's but i keeep on getting told by my performance guy that the 3.0 kicks in at 52-5300 rpms. hope this helps

Our car red line at 6K that's pointless if it was 5.2K. I think i feel it around 3K-3.5K

I'm pretty sure that it's 4300 on both the 2.3 and 3.0. No way it's 5200 because the car makes peak hp at 5500; vtec would be pretty useless then if it only helps power gains for 300rpm.

3700 rpm for the F22 motor. i think that the 3.0 is aound there also.

you're not going to fell vtec that well in a SOCH motor.

Wow, i have a 98 3.0, it is set to engage at 3500-3600. If any of you have a CAI, i can hear a huge difference in the sound of the motor breathing when it kicks in. Good deal??
