Ok i have both radars in my car for obvious testing. I never jump ship since hte cobra has saved me about 2k in speeding tickets over the years.

I put the valentine 1 i bought off a member here and honestly it picks 75% of cops up but the cobra picks up some the valentine doesnt....wtf? I was gonna dump the cobra but now im leary.

Or do you guys think the unit might be malfunctioning? if so buying it used was bullchit and the seller has some explaining to do

Depends on the firmware of the V1, if it hasn't been kept up to date and it's older, then it wont' catch everything. Sounds like you need to look into updating the fw on your V1.

And still sell me your cobra

idk, I've heard the valentine was the complete top of the line, caught everything, so I'm not real sure why it isn't catching more than that...

exactly my thoughts...i even turned off the other radar thinking it was just that and still didnt pick it up

what mode do you have it on? there will be a little L and a big L and an A....A picks up all even false detections....little L is for local driving and limits false detections....try it out

i downloaded the instructions and have it on a all the time....im gonna keep trying it to see what happens
