If the shop needs an idea on where to set it. THen that's not the shop you want, if they don't even know where to start. They should at least refer you to a dyno shop that will dyno/tune it for you.

If they're a tuning shop with a dyno, then they should know that they need to do a base run. Then look at the graph and see what needs to be adjusted. If they're asking you on where to start, you should just take it to a another shop in your area.

its so true. they need to do a base run to see WHERE it should be adjusted first.

after you get your cams in, after a few thousand miles you'll need to adjust them. Or else its loud.

I was planning on adjusting them immediately after replacement as stated in the helms manual.

ok thanks, I'll keep that in mind. I'll probably adjust them immediately after install, wait 1000 miles or so then adjust them again, then wait another 1000 then do the dyno tune.

damn that's almost a month and a half after installing them to tune... I usually only drive about 300 miles per week, but ah well.

which does absolutley nothing if you are not tuned. If anything you are losing power.

and you can't set the high>low at a higer rpm than the low>high.
