It could be a single turbo, just run the uppipe from where both headers join the rest of the exhaust.

our engine can handle a decent amount of boost. it's the tranny you have to worry about. i'm gettin the tranny upgrade this summer so i'm either gonna go nos or turbo

what kind of tranny r u getting and how much does man conversion cost? I am thinking of one or the other and getting a zex nos system this summer. What do i need to do to my car so it can handle 75 shot nos w/o screwing up the engine. I was going to get the nos kit, spark plugs, a/f gauge, nos pressure gauge, gauge pod. I think that should be all. I just wanted to compare it with turbo before i get it.

first off, the turbo will run you a lot more money. i'm gettin the level ten tranny upgrade so i won't blow my tranny. thats gonna run me roughly 1800 installed. you can run nos now but i would get a tranny cooler first. start off with a small shot and see how the tranny holds up. and you don't want to use it all the time cuz thats what causes the tranny to overheat.

I have a 75 shot on my automatic 2.3, no problems so far. Zex was designed to be on a stock engine, so you might want to look into zex. www.zex.com

As dc stated above, zex is the best kit to get. One of the advantages of their kit is the management system which works with your throttle position sensor and only activates under wide open throttle in addition to adjusting air/fuel/nitrous mixture levels. I've been trying to stay away from nitrous to save up for a turbo kit but I'm about to break down and get the zex.

Oh, BTW, does anyone know if the old school NOS purge valve will work with the zex kit? I got one lying around and there's nothing like the sound of a good purge.

Yeah it will work. The zex purge kit has the biggest solenoid out of all the other brands out there so it might be a little better. If your thinking of selling let me know, I have a friend thats looking for one.

Are you just saying this so I'll sell your friend my NOS one? Like I said before, I'm still trying to make myself save for a turbo, but it's only $600 right I'll let you know if I want to get rid of it.

Actually its not $600 for a zex kit, its more like $450.00 brand new on ebay. About the purge kit you have yes it will work with a zex kit. If you decide not to get a nitrous kit, I have a friend that is looking to buy a purge kit. So if you want to sell it to him PM me.
