v2 intake install

ok i just got my v2 intake today...and yes i have read all the literature on this site on it. my question is, the pamphlet that comes with the shit says something about cutting some wires and then extending them with the provided wires and connecters, but that is for the 2001-2003 cl's, do ya have to do thsi shit on the 98? also anyone who has installed this themselves can you please tell me if you just foillowed the aem panphlet or if you had to make mods and shit???
thanx

yeah you gotta cut the wires from the IAT sensor wire harness that is behind the engine on the driver's side, for the 3.0.

then you gotta take the sensor out, plug it into the black tude that goes between the intake tube and the throttle body. buy some wire crimpers, they make the job alot easier.

there is a bolt you use to plug in where the old IAT sensor used to be, otherwise if you dont plug it up your engine will rev from idle to 4K RPM constantly.

hope this helps

is the bolt to cover the hole on the exhaust manifold supplied? the manual that came with it doesn't say anything about it?

there is no bolt for the exhaust maifold....think about it, youre adding an INTAKE, not an EXHAUST....

seriously, take a good 30 minutes to look over the directions and your engine bay stup, you will see it isnt that difficult to install once youve looked things over. All the pictures in the manual are VERY similar to our engine bay except for where the intake filter sits b/c the honda accord has a different setup for the filter area.
