It's NA 4 rotor that produces about 500hp with no mods to it.

Just look at the doors, the trunk, the handles...Common sense prevails once again.

are you sure its a 4 rotor...never heard of that before...i know that the jdm model is a 3 rotor and the USDM model is a 2 rotor

yea its a 4 rotor. 2 rotor x2. I think its the same engine as the banned LM 787B. I have some vids of it revving its engine, etc etc. Its been posted around on several forums a while back.

In the vids, you see all the ports...Its 4 rotor fo sho.

It is CLpower - the vid of it revving was on here not too long ago. They also showed it with no intake/headers and you could see it spinning. It was mad tite...

 

That's a sick car, and def. is not a CL I see no resemblence at all. All i have to say.

have any of you guys seen the 2004 RX8...Damn those cars are fuckin bad. my cousin got one and i drive it all the time...I think it is like 260 hp stock (manual).

 

I think those cars are FUGLY. I know 99% of the people here will disagree but something about those cars just is not attractive. I test drove one and they are fast and fun to drive but they are FUGLY!

The car sucks.

You won't make good times unless you launch it cause its a high revving engine...all the power is up top. If you street start it, the car is like a 7 or 8 second 0-60. And the HP rating is wrong...thus why they are kissing so much ass and lowering the sales price. I they're missing like 30 hp or some shit. Ghey.

 

Still would beat any first gen i've been in.

 

I wouldn't say the car sucks...i drive this car almost everyother day and i think its pretty fast all around and a fun car to drive. I havn't heard anything about it missing 30 hp. all i know is that it can smoke the tires like nothin. It does look a little fugly but it really starts to grow on you. It is the first generation for this type of car so i may have some slight defects. (Thats what warrenties are for)

 

I can see that happening. Its not a terrible car just something about it is a little weird. If i could afford one i'm sure i would enjoy it alot!

 

they were supposed to have 260hp. they even presold people on this spec. But they had to detune the engine to 238 due to emissions. So mazda offered to buy back any presold car.

 

btw: I love the rx8, as far as looks go i would get it instead of the g35 or cls. lack of torque sucks, but I dont really car about 1/4 mile times, as long as the car is not a pig and looks and HANDLES great. Plus aftermarket support should be great.

another thing....the only reason a person would import a CL to japan is to be like people who import JDM only cars to america...it is a fad there.,...they wouldnt want to chop up a car that they would get "hella props" for anyways

rx8 = over stated hp and automatic rx8= CRAP

 

They were suppose to have 250 HP, then they took it down to 238. There was a dyno test in last months sport compact car and it was like 188whp. Thats a decent amount of hp loss to the wheels.
