Upgrading Headers and Air Intake

Hey guys, this is my first time posting on the forums and recently aquired a 99 3.0 CL. I love the car, runs great. I got it with 88K miles but it still runs new. I am looking to beef up the overall performance and speed so I've been lookin at headers and Air intakes. Its hard to find CL parts so I've been looking at accords, just posting a few finds if anyone has some feedback regarding the parts.

AEM COLD AIR INTAKE

- I've heard this is expensive to pay for an intake but have heard good things about AEM... will this part fit? Any comments?

SSAUTOCHROME HEADERS

- A friend actually told me about these, it says they fit on the ebay page so I'm hopeful of that. Any feedback?

Also, has anyone found a nice easy mountable front body kit? I saw a cool BMW style one but havent been able to find it.

Thanks all

The headers will fit, the intake will fit, but it is WAY overpriced, you're better off gettin an ebay intake than spending ~$200 on an intake.

As for the body kit, the only kit made for our cars is the black widdow which is uber ugly. Check out the off topic / sponsored sales and group buys and pick up a wings west lip, much better alternative, or there is a new lip on ebay you may be interested in. Any other body kits that would fit is a body kit from a 94-97 accord that would need modified to fit. All this can be found on the search function. Welcome

Cool man, exactly what I wanted to hear about the headers. I've heard good things about the SS headers, hopefully they work out. Anyone know if you need to tilt the engine or anything when replacing the back headers? The front headers look easy to reach but the back looked a little packed.

I just installed them on my car a few weeks ago and the engine stays in place. But you you will ofcourse need to put the car on a lift and have a long extension for the wratchet to get at the bottom part of the back header where it connects to the downpipe. but its not bad at all and BTW i love the headers they are great. also take blackcl's advice and just get an ebay intake it not worth the extra money which could be used for better mods.:twocents:

Muffler or piping , new spark plugs, new spark plug wires, pullies, thermoblok spacers, throttle body spacer, off the top of my head those are cheaper ones, you can do full exhaust to help your headers, or do some suspension upgrades too, but those are more $$

The headers will give you a huge gain, if you open up your exhaust for them to flow. He isn't noticing big gains, because he has a backflow problem with the stock exhaust, headers with new piping and a new muffler would give you big gains.
