Unoffical 400 whp thread...
Ok after talking it over with the wife and putting my other car on hold, I have decided to jump into this k20 swap and get serious. I have ordered this stroker kit http://www.briancrower.com/view.php?pn=BC0049
and this turbo

I am going for 400 at the wheel as a starting point.
I should have the car completely done and painted by mid July. Will the mods please make this a sticky, so that I can post my progress pics and let everyone know what is needed to do this swap. Thanks.

brian crower has been a huge failure. bent crankshafts. premature failure in components and most of all made in CHINA...
i have looked for a long time in a stroker kit and there is nothing better can custom made in the USA.

no they come bent. the material is shit
my stroker kit is going to be extremely straight and extremely reliable. i have a 5+G head and a very expensive block to come in the near future. i would not invest my money with them

I've read stroker motors aren't good for daily drivers and wear out alot quicker, i can only imagine a turbo stroker and how short of a lifespan it will have if not built to a T and meticulously maintained
why short lifespan? its no diff from a regular. its only called a stroker because of a diff displacement. you have a stroker h22. you have a h23 right chris. maybe im wrong but im willing to commit to something big and expensive and i would assume it would last longer that a stock h22
Here's something i saw

strokers should be expected to be rebuilt after 80k or so. the cylinder wall wear from the extended stroke. the piston comes up at a different angle from stock and pushes more wear and stress on the walls.
i did a 2.3 stroker on my dsm simply because the cl in my DD and the dsm isn't going out unless its nights/weekends

your gonna spend so much money on the swapp alone its gonna be riduckous unless your doing it all your own but still swap and axels ecu and wire harness is gonna be loot and custom exhaust unless you buy the 600 dollar headers they have on the net but good luck with the swap

OP, good luck with the swap.
Thanks guys I have 2 06 RSX's to use for parts both 6 speeds just hit in the rear enough to be totalled by the insurance companies. I am doing it all myself pretty much. I have a waterjet at my disposal along with a mig and a tig. Thinking of just getting some forged pistons from diamond racing and some h-beam rods. Gonna be running an intercooler with methanol injection. Exhaust is gonna be all made of 304 stainless and mandrel bent. Convinced the wife to get a new car so I can have the CL to play with. I wanna slay some Cobras that think they are the sh!t around here.
