Type S Cam

OK I have heard alot of people talking about changing the cam out with a Type S cam. You guys are talking about the actual cam and not cam gears. Also where can I get one and what do I have to do to make it work?

OK I am going to ask a dumb question but when you say machined that means that they don't fit right and they have to machined down in order to fit?

The machining involved is to add a notch to the rear cam to drive the distributor, nothing to do with the lobes.

He said things aren't looking good, that he may just do a custom cam of the type S's already machined. He said he's been swamped w/ k series stuff lately.

He'll have another update tomorrow, said he needs to talk to his boss, I think he's also trying to see the interest from the guys over at V6P. What he is talking about now is essentially Type S cams ready to drop in and go, no machining involved. He then may be willing to work on a more aggressive cam in the future.
