Turbo
Anyone know a turbo kit for the 2.3 or one that can be made. I know there is a garrett T3 that can be used on accords but how exactly is this done. I dont want to spray so turbo is my only solution for decent HP. Any incite on turbo application is appreciated.

drag and fmax are the only ones who make a turbo kit for the f22/f23. they use a t3 or t4 turbo i think. if u want a smaller turbo it would have to be all custom work.

Anyone ever here about putting a Turbo on the 3.0? Any drawbacks besides the space in the engine compartment and cost? Just curious, not planning anything....

I asked that question a long time ago Melo, and the only responses I ever got is that the tranny is too weak. I know you can have the tranny re-built to handle more horsepower, but if you were able to find a shop able to preform the work and have it work like it should, you'd spend half as much as your car is worth getting it done. (EX: look to pay between $6000 and $10000)
HKS did a turbo accord in Super Street I think, and someone told me it had a $10,000 tranny in it to handle the power. That, to me, is ridiculous. Yeah, if ya got the cash, go for it! Then you got the cost of the turbo alone, which a good shop will prolly want around $5000 for a good turbo install. I personally think a turbo in the 3.0 would be incredible... the car already has tons of power... just imagine it with a turbo. I still like the idea of a NSX motor and tranny... but again, thats prolly goin to extremes.

A single turbo, completely reroute and add on all the parts neccessary to my motor and strengthen my tranny... for $8000.00... the only thing that was terrible was that they needed the car for 3 months

Lets just say i was rich enough to put the NSX turbo engine and tranny into the CL...
There is NO WAY IN #$%^ I'm gonna give up the NSX body just to have a CL body around that engine. I like the CL style but come on! NSX is HOT!!

In fact Acura is running a pretty attractive lease special on the 2001 NSX (apparently they're having trouble moving them with all the rumors about the 2002). Check it out: http://www.eacura.com/brand/acuramod...?ModelDesc=NSX !
