Trying to replace headlamps in 97 CL right now... need assist
Hi all. I am replacing the headlamps in our 97 3.0 CL with Sylvania Silverstars even as we speak.... well trying to replace anyways. I have gotten all of them but the drivers side low beam done but that one stupid bulb will not come out! The other three came out fine... quarter turn counterclockwise and they popped right out. This drivers side low beam however will not budge. I can wiggle it a little bit but it will simply not turn counterclockwise enough for me to pull it out. Has anyone else run into this? I thought about trying some WD-40 but don't really feel like thats the wise thing to do. I've tried forcing it using a long flathead screwdriver but don't want to put too much pressure on it for fear of breaking something. Any advice/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
TIA!!!

I had the same problem too. The clip & bulb locking mechanism are stuck together. I stuck a screw driver down into the 2 locking plastic parts that hold the clip to the bulb. Twist it around while pulling the clip downward.

Slip a small flat-blade screwdriver tip into the slot that the housing "thumb button" release hooks into... should pop right out while you pull down on bulb housing. Worked on my car - be patient is good advice!
