Exclamation Transmission Help

I was driving on the freeway and my "D4" light was flashing. Didnt understand why. When i got off the freeway and after stopping i tried to accelerate again but the car was barley moving and the rpms were going past 4k. Yet I could put it in 2nd and D3 and shift it that way.

I did a search and came up with this plus an OBD2 scan..

P0753 Shift Solenoid A (electrical)

I know a scan doesn't mean its just that part and it might be more then just the solenoid, but has anyone has this problem before.

If it's an external solenoid and like the 4 cylinder, they are easy as hell to replace to just try. Can get em on ebay cheap. I think it was literally 3 or 4 10mm bolts and a single plug. I was able to replace both on the accord in 15 minutes.

You better knock on your fake wood grain like 20 times.

Every time my tranny does anything weird I figure that's it, but

thats exactly right, three ten millimeter bolts and a gasket and the solenoid assembly of course and you're golden. i'd imagine the computer put it in limp mode or something..
