trannsmission trouble

now i know i dont own a CL anymore, blah blah. well im having issues with my h22 tranny. Its making weird noises. More specifically, when stopped at a light, a humming noise is present with the clutch not pressed, dissappears when depressed. I've been told its the throw out bearing aka release bearing. now how much damage am i risking of doing if i continue to drive it?

oh yah, not that the lude is a bad car, its great...just im not financially ready for it. its much more finicky in terms of maintenance. i drove my cl like hell and it never complained. i never spent more than i had to to keep it running. plus premium fuel, synthetic oil gets expensive too. only thing i really regret is not getting a fifth gen is better condition, but wasnt gonna happen since i couldnt sell the cl for more than 4500 and fifth gens start at 9g at least.

Throwout bearing, or you have internal tranny problems like I do in my 240sx.

Evan

BTW, throwout bearing are cheap if you do the labor.

its possible that its the throw out or the pilot bearings...ill have to check that out. i just dont feel like taking the tranny down, its a lot of work or expensive on labour.

well i need to add some personal touches to the car, remove those gay tailights for example, i like the stock ones.
as for missing the CL, theres one thing i dont miss, it being fucking slow. I was toying with a black 2.2 the other day on the highway, in 5th and he could barely keep up.

If you can do the work yourself, it's really inexpensive.
