Send Dustbuster (Rick) a PM, he has a tranny cooler, and did the install himself. I remember him saying it was pretty cheap and easy to do as well...

I spent 160 including parts and labor. the tranny cooler was for a 14,000 GVWR vehicle and the cooler itself cost 85 bucks. It was mounted in front next to the radiator. YES it is overkill, but the car shifts so wonderfully i can mash the gas every time and feel safe

I got a Hayden tranny cooler. Don't get one too big cause it will take too long to warm up the car. Did the job myself...
Total cost: sub $40.

a hayden tranny cooler or any supplemental tranny cooler like B&M does diddly squat for your heat issue.....go ask anyone who builds up race transmissions. you definately need something with a GVWR of over 8500 minimum, although keep i mind a tranny flush every 15K miles is still the best and easiest way to go.

Tranny flushes are actually very bad for your transmission if you haven't done them regularly from the beginning. When the tranny fluid is flushed out it stirs up all the metal particles and shavings and can cause quite a bit of damage - at least according to the handful of tranny guys I talked to when mine went, who were all very adamant about it. Each one recommended simply draining it out and filling it back up and suggested that the flush I had the Acura dealer do 2 weeks before mine died could have been responsible... just what I was told.

sorry, my idea of a tranny flush is drain and fill, just like on the radiator....

We dont' have race transmissions, thus we don't need a giant ass tranny cooler. We're not running turbos here...

We just need a little bit of cooling cause our engines run so hot.

If you overkill it you're running below optimal temperatures.

Oh yea...

And yes, I did feel a difference in shifts (alot smoother), especially after racing on weekends, which is why I got one in the first place. So it DID do something...Something to the extent that I could feel my car act differently...

I got a tranny flush, and 2 months later, I needed a new tranny. But, it was covered by warranty luckily. I don't think I will be getting any more flushes.
