You need more torque!

Try pulling up the E-brake and then burning out.

well.... there is one way... just take it up to 5000 in neutral and shift it into 1st gear. you'll get the tires to smoke real nice.

but remember.... dont do this unless you want your car gone for more than a month while the people from acura are ordering a new auto tranny for you.... and laughing all the way to the bank.

for the people that read this..... dont flame me... you know you wanted to post this reply too.

hahaha...

but normally traction control is on cars that have lots of power and torque...for instance the M5...they have it, their peak torque is around 2000-2800 rpm range (forgot where exactly)...but if you turned it off...u better really really know how to drive well or else you wont be able to drive it with the traction control off...good luck...i'd like to see that

Hmm... I know that our cars have no official traction control system like the ones that are currently available. However, I was told by my dealer, who cited the owner's manual, that our GEN1 CLs are designed to operate as if there was a form of traction control. I was told to keep the car in "2" when driving in snow and at icy intersections. From my experience, it had a similar effect but not as good. I mean, the car starts off in 2nd gear and stays there which doesn't allow the tires to spin on the icy surface as it would in 1st gear. Its worked for me. But, I still wish I had REAL traction control. Anyway, like I said, I know we don't have an actual TCS on our cars but I thought I'd throw in my two-cents for those who live in snowy areas where this could be of some help
