Tinting Taillights
Nah I just did mine with the lights on...Just take your time making sure that you "Squeege" the film on there without to many bubbles, and that corners are going to match up properly...There will be small bubbles for a day or two but they will soon settle in and be flush with the light, thats the way mine went anyways. I think they give you good directions with the package.

Here's my advice:
1. Find a dust-free and wind-free area for installation (i.e. a garage).
2. Thoroughly clean the tail lights with a lint-free rag and rubbing alcohol.
3. Spray a lot soapy water on the tail light and both sides of the tint (Note: spraying the outside of the tint and not only the adhesive side allows easier and more controlled squeegeeing).
4. Carefully place the film on the tail light, lining everything up. And squeegee that bitch on with firm/even pressure, making sure all of the bubbles are gone.
5. Take your time, DO NOT RUSH, with the installation.
6. Let the film cure...let it bake in the sun if possible.
7. Use a hair dryer or heat gun when neccessary.
8. Enjoy your newly tinted tail lights!
FYI: I've tinted quite a few tail lights and honestly, 1st gen CL tail lights are by far the easiest to tint. So don't worry, you shouldn't have any problems as long as you're careful and patient. Good luck!
