Tint on Tail Lights

I want to smoke out the tail lights, and know about Rock Blockers. But they charge $50. I was at the Home Depot last night, and found a vinyl tint, and they say it is used for all applications, boat, home, auto, etc. They show pics of tinting car windows, which I do not want to do. But it does state that it works on plastic, with no bubbling. It states that it is removable, which I am not concerned about. I was also at Walmart last night, and found window tint for much less, around $9. Would this work?

just save yourself the hassle of cutting out the template, wondering if light will shine through, and if it'll even stick right and buy the rockblocker kit

try it out. if it works out, great - if not, you'll just have wasted a few bucks and now have to pay X+ 49.95 for rockblocker's already cut tints

waste of time... that shit will peel off when you go to the car wash... RockBlocker Kit will bring satisfaction. You can always count on 3M plastic products.

That is why I think I might risk the $9, and if it doesn't work, I'll try the stuff at Home Depot. It claims to stick on plastic, and can be removed easily. Plus, it is supposed to do well in the weather, it's supposed to work on boats. Anyone know what I am talking about? It is in the desinger dept, in the back middle of the store (they are all the same).

Listen to the guys on here, window tint is designed to go on glass, inside the car. Rockblocker's is not window tint, and it is designed to go OUTSIDE the car. If you put cheap window tint film on your lights, they will peel, and fall off. Just buy the rockblocker kit, so it won't fall off.
