Timing Belt Question...

Been a while boys - but I'm still around and driving the CL!
Got rear-ended 8 months ago and was able to clean up the rust and freshen up the paint in the rear end through the other person's insurance - so the inconvenience totally paid off

Anyways, my mechanic replaced my timing belt, water pump and tensioners a few weeks ago and upon receiving my car back, I noticed a squeal-type sound coming from the crankcase upon low acceleration. it clears up after about 1500 rpm's, but the sound would be similar to a dry bearing sound...
He opened the engine up again and re-did everything again, but the sound is still there. it's frustrating both of us. it doesn't affect performance, but it is annoying.
any thoughts out there??

So if it's the belt tensioner does that mean it's too tight or too loose?
It's the f22b1 engine in case anyone's wondering.

back in 2007 when i bought my car, i had to change my t-belt. so i went to the dealer, bought the parts and the parts guy told me there is an extra piece you have to add when u change a stock timing belt for the first time. So i bought it as well. It came with an instruction and a little diagram.

If i remember, I'll snap a pic of it tomorrow because the mechanic who did the job didn't bother using that part... So i have it, still new, sitting in my glove box!

Oh god that damn sound... It took so many adjustments for me to get it to mostly go away. It happened to me when I did my belt. The tension is off. A honda master tech told me there was a trick to get it right on these, but it escapes me. I ended up nuking a tensioner just about. I replaced it before it got too bad. I toyed around with the tension a lot and it was mostly eliminated, then i traded the car for the TL, so I have no idea how it is now.

The part Eband27 is talking about is likely the front balance shaft seal retainer. PLEASE get this, it's the reason why i had to redo my timing belt. The front balance shaft seals jump out of these motors sometimes and you end up with a massive oil leak that soaks your timing belt. It didn't quite make it to recall status but it was a tsb.

kk - this is really good to know guys - thanks so much.
This is the second time changing the belt - the previous owner did it once.
Tehvine - if there is any way you could find out that 'trick' that would be amazing!

I'm not sure if this is related or not...but...
i've noticed that after about a half an hour of city driving i pull up home and antifreeze starts leaking out the overflow bottle. My temps are all normal so it seems that my mechanic just overfilled it when replacing the waterpump. This has happened three times now (in the past week) yet my levels aren't showing any real decrease...is this in any way related?
seriously - thanks for all the help - greatly appreciate your help guys!

Eband27 - were able to get a pic of that piece - or at least a part name/number? I'd love to know whether or not to rule it out
Tehvine - any chance you were able to remember the 'trick' that the honda master tech told you about??
the sound is driving me nuts.....
oh yeah - the antifreeze was just overfill...

sounds like the belt is hitting the timing cover. is the belt guide that sits behind the crank pulley (looks like a washer with holes in it about 2.5" in diameter) the right way round. if its backwards the belt will hit the cover.
