Timing belt

Has anyone of you changed his? When did you change it? When do we actually need to change them?

Thanks.

Hey man...

The interval is every 60-80,000 miles. Which CL do you have... cause I remember reading that all the 98+ CL's don't need a change til 100,000 miles.

I was going to do the belt change myself.... but I ended up not having the time to do it. There are actually 3 belts to change 2 timing belts and 1 harmonic balancer...I think that's right.. lemme check w/ my Helm to make sure.

I also got a deal on the change... $350 as to $550... so I took the initiative.

I have a '98 3.0CL and the manual says every 60k, tho the guy at the dealer says every 100k. I don't know if I should wait though, is the v6 an interference engine? I remember changing the one on my 4-cyl '92 accord on time fearing breaking the valves/pistons.

$350 is a steal... I had to shop around to get the '92 accord one replaced for about $600. -D
