Time to move on.

Hey guys long time no post but i figured id post to say my goodbye and also ask one last peice of advice

So i get off work today and go to beep my car and i dont hear the friendly chirp back. search around the parking lot and its gone so filed police report wasnt they say it was not towed it was stolen. SO now im pretty sure my insurance will only give me around 2000 for it and im looking for a new car. =\

Any suggestions for a car in the 5000-10000 range that would be very reliable cheap to fix and have a sporty feel? looking for less than 50k miles

Just give it a bit of time. Maybe some joyrider picked it up and they'll find it soon.

Whenever you lose your car whether it be stolen or totaled, you:

1) get online and search for your particular car with similar miles
2) give the ones priced the highest to your insurance agent

This will usually help you get the most out of your car.

cant someone make a craigslist posting of their own car w/ similar miles and make the price amazingly high?

damn man sorry to hear that. i know how you are feeling right now. as for 5k to 10k with 50k miles, you might be able to find a RSX or so. I checked on auto trader and i checked around the alameda area and there is one for 9.9k 57k miles

that really sucks man...if car theft is a problem where you live i wouldn't suggest getting an RSX/teg/civic etc. i'd look for another CL or a 2nd gen CL. there are a couple CLs around LA under 10k with around 90k miles...check those out.

dont give up finding her man, she may turn up somewhere.

It always makes me wonder how much it would cost to hard wire some type of GPS tracking to the car. Don't police/emergency vehicles have tracking devices and even some delivery companies.

It would almost be worth it on the off chance your car gets stolen just to be able to fuck whoever did it.

If there is anything in this country with laws that are too lax it's thievery.

Damm bro, sorry to hear that...worst news anyone wants to hear about there car...If they find it, you might just want to fix whatever it is they might of broke and sell it, its never really the same after that.

5-10K is a good amount to spend on a car right now... in my own opinion I would get a Volkswagen GTI,RSX,TL,CL and maybe a fully loaded accord.

lojack is like one of those directional locators though isn't it and only has a certain range? a GPS locater would allow you to pull up a map and be like ok the fucker has my car in his garage in X town. I could be wrong.

id think a cheaper route would be to get a GPS enabled cell phone and have it set up to be tracked. then hook it up to your car so its always charging and running and hide it in a spot that a thief wont find.

Yea you're probably right. You would have to pay for a second plan wouldn't you?

This is crazy, I never saw the CL as being something anyone would want to steal. There's too few of us to begin with and only handful have parts worth stealing. This is why I keep my modded Honda locked up where even I can't enjoy it.

Sorry to hear about the theft. This kind of stuff just pisses me off. Like the title of your thread, it's time to move on to bigger and better things.
